CTC FUN-damentals

Each CTC day will begin with an hour of discussions and games related to the themes of unity in diversity, service to mankind and developing the virtues we all possess. The second hour will be focused on simple dance choreographies, drama and improvisation workshops in which the children will try their hands (and voices, and feet… ) at creating their own skits and dances. The second half of the session will include choir and visual art projects.  The program includes two breaks and nutritious snacks.

Your presence is fun-damental!

Character Education: Art as a Form of Service

The next generation will be the stewards of our communities, nation, and planet in extraordinarily critical times. The present and future well being of our society requires an involved, caring community with distinguished moral character. Effective character education is based on core values which are the foundation of an ethical society. These core ethical values transcend cultural, religious, and socio-economic differences.

We consider each person as a mine of precious gems, an innately noble being whose qualities only need to be brought to light. Character education is the process by which these gems are discovered, brought out and polished in each child. Every aspect of the CTC program is infused with opportunities for all children and adults involved to bring out these gems and use them for the good of the world.

CTC is open to all children who are motivated to learn, grow and explore theatre and the arts. The first prerequisite is teamwork not just talent. We’re looking for enthusiasm and open-mindedness.
